Optima Batteries group 78 RedTop Side Post Battery was developed with all the qualities of a RedTop performing batteries. The Group 78 RedTop has an outward side terminal design and will fit 7.2 million vehicles that were previously not covered by the group 34/78 model, including GM minivans and all GM platforms with an active cooling box. In addition to the new terminal locations, the group 78 will include single-point venting for under seat applications. The Optima RedTop Group 78 battery consist of the patented SPIRALCELL Technology immobilizing the internal components of the battery in which enables Optima batteries to withstand incredible amounts of vibration and the constant abuse from Cars, Trucks, and SUVs on and off the road. The sealed cells make the battery spill-proof, even if its installed on its side. This prevents external gassing and leaking which can damage engine components and limit battery performance. The patented SPIRALCELL Technology offers 15 times the vibration resistance and up to twice the life of ordinary batteries. Optima batteries deliver a higher level of power to the starter in the critical first 10 seconds of the vehicle starting cycle. Optima is designed to offer the greatest technology in providing a strong and clean power source that far surpasses any of today's filled lead/acid batteries.
